INSTRUCTIONS

STEP 1.

Use a glue stick to attach the white paper on to one side of the cardboard.

This will give you a homemade canvas to use for the project. If you have a store-bought canvas you may use this instead.

STEP 2.

Peel the wrappers off the crayons.

If the wrappers are not coming off, soak the crayons in warm water for about 15 minutes. This will make the removal of the wrappers much easier.

STEP 3.

Plug in the hot glue gun.

Please ask parents/guardians for approval and/or supervision before doing this.

STEP 4.

Apply hot glue along the side of the crayon from the end to the middle of the crayon. Then place the glue-side down on the top of the canvas.

Repeat this process for each crayon.

STEP 8.

Stand canvas straight up and tilt it back 30-45 degrees.

This will cause the crayons to create a drip effect

STEP 9.

Turn the hairdryer on low and move it back and forth horizontally (left to right and right to left) in front of the canvas.

The hairdryer should be held a couple of inches away from the canvas.

STEP 10.

Let the melted crayon cool.

Once you have reached your desired look. Allow the canvas to cool for 20-30 minutes.

Now you have finished!
